NFTA Holds Flag Lowering Ceremony on 25th Anniversary of 911

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority held a flag-lowering ceremony at the Buffalo Niagara International Fire Department on Friday, the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority held a flag-lowering ceremony at the Buffalo Niagara International Fire Department on Friday, the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

NFTA employees, police, and firefighters stood together as  Authority officials and members of the  NFTA Veterans Committee spoke about the importance of remembering those lost and how Americans came together to help afterward.

Gatherers also observed a moment of silence as the “Heroes Flag,”  was displayed, an American Flag featuring the names of all the brave emergency responders who ran toward danger on that tragic day.
