NFTA Launches Metro Alerts
BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is proud to announce the launch of Metro Alerts, a new alert system designed to keep passengers informed of transit updates via text message or email. The service allows riders to receive timely notifications about service changes. Using Metro Alerts along with apps like Google and Transit gives riders the tools to plan travel efficiently.
Metro Alerts will provide up-to-the-minute information on:
Service Delays: Stay informed of any unexpected delays or disruptions to your route.
Time Changes: Receive notifications about schedules for both buses and trains.
Temporary Schedules: Be aware of any short-term schedule changes due to maintenance, weather, or special events.
Rail Information- Single tracking and platform changes
Riders can select to receive alerts for multiple bus routes.
